Laser welding / cutting
Laser light is more and more becoming the perfect solution for welding as well as cutting in plastic parts.
The advantages of joining plastic parts with laser light (laser welding) are among other things the heating - free from contact and vibrations - of the objects to be joined. This causes a careful joining and at the same time makes it possible to join objects of various thickness and plastic material without problems. The welding seam is uniform air- and waterproof and allows joining of objects containing sensible electronic components.
Plastic parts meant to be laser-welded have to be respectively transparent and absorbent to laser light. This must be taken into account at colouring the plastic parts – please see our page of colouration.
By cutting with laser light you can achieve a more flexible cutting process than by traditional methods as the laser light offers a possibility of 3 dimensional cutting of own choice. The cutting process can be controlled by a vision system and makes it possible to cut in metallic folio or vacuum formed PET objects etc.
We can supply standard equipment as well as solutions of customer-specified process development tasks.
Until investing in your own equipment becomes relevant we can offer laserwelding of  prototypes and mass productions as sub-supplier.
